I grew up near the Ashley River and spent a lot of my youth playing in the wooded areas of the river. I actually like the smell of puff mud! I have a love of nature and the beauty it shows in me! As a child I was always drawing, then in high school art class I discovered painting.  I was in love. I am a mostly self taught artist. However later in life I went back to school for an associate in art degree in graphic design. I was able to take invaluable illustration and design classes. Being a single mom I had concentrate on making a living so I had to put my painting aside. However I always painted when I could. Now I'm retired I can paint away!
