The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present Views From Charleston, an exhibition by Marcia Mathias.  Marcia is the featured artist at the CAG Gallery for the month of November.

"White Scent"

Her goal is to capture the viewer and inject a feeling of solitude, depth, and passion in a harmonious movement across the canvas. Marcia Sprecher Mathias was born in Batavia NY, grew up in Seminole Florida and moved to Charleston SC in the mid 1970’s. Marcia is a self-taught artist and presents her work to the public as impressionistic, with a slightly whimsical look.

"Lovely in Pink"

She also enjoys abstract painting to push her creative thinking further. Marcia believes art is so personal, the beauty is not only what the artist sees but how the viewer interprets the art. Marcia is an exhibiting member of the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery, and a member of American Impressionist Society. She has received numerous awards, and her paintings are in private collections around the world.

"Wading"
