Painting, for me, is eye-opening and challenging, it is also frustrating.  The ability to express my ideas and thoughts on paper and canvas gives me great pleasure.  When I paint the time flies by, I am immersed in the process of finding a way to express my idea and convey it to my viewer.  My pieces are not always connected in subject matter but rather are an eclectic collection of things that have called to me.  I paint mostly in oil and pastel.  Having grown up on a mid-western farm, I am especially enamored with the low country ever changing marshes.
