Elizabeth Hasegawa Agresta
Elizabeth is a Charleston-based painter recognized for her compelling monochromatic cityscapes and landscapes that blend tranquility with elemental force. With a foundation from The Art Students League of New York, her work has earned top honors, including First Place and The Future of Preservation Award at Charleston’s 2024 Preserving the Past exhibition. Featured in the U.S. National Parks collection, Elizabeth also brings her artistic talents to children's literature, with her illustrations for I’m Mixed! winning the 2018 Skipping Stones Award. A former president of the FC Plein Air Painters, she is actively involved with the New York Society of Women Artists and the Oil Painters of America, continuing to foster artistic community and public dialogue. Today, she focuses on distilling the complexities of human experience, capturing emotion, sensation, and memory through vibrant, evocative imagery.
