Maryanne Keeling, a native of South Carolina, is a fine art photographer and artist who now divides her time between Charleston, SC and Houston, TX. She is an exhibiting member at CAG Gallery, as well as a board member of Charleston Artist Guild. Maryanne has had a 30+ year career as a photographic artist (Memories by Maryanne Photography) and she is very honored to have had her work judged and recognized internationally. All her work is available to order on paper, canvas, metal or acrylic on her website at www.membymaryanne.com. Maryanne says that for her, photography is the artform that allows her to capture a unique moment in time that will never be repeated. She is drawn to the timeless beauty found in nature and its many moods created by light. Her paintings always start with a subject or scene that she’s photographed…and she’s inspired to paint it into the most ideal setting that she can imagine. Her goal when she creates a piece, be it purely photographic or painted, is to draw the viewer in. She wants them to immerse themselves and get lost in the image. Maryanne says that the SC Low Country is a source of endless inspiration for her. All of her pieces sourced from this area can be viewed/purchased in her online gallery titled “Carolinas Are Calling”, on her website.
