April Featured Artist - Julie Furlong - "Lowcountry Blues"

"Precious Treasures"
The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present "Lowcountry Blues", an exhibition by Julie Furlong. Julie’s paintings depict the essence of the lowcountry - a harmonious blend of tranquility, elegance, and natural splendor.

"Tranquil Journey"
"Lowcountry Blues" showcases a series of tonal painting consisting primarily of cerulean blue and yellow ochre. These colors, along with a simplified palette, aim to capture the essence of Charleston's beaches and marshes, and invoke a feeling of tranquility.

"Early Morning Catch"
Julie’s journey to Charleston began at the age of sixteen, and ever since, she has been captivated by the vast expanse of lush green marshes. The sight of the sun setting over the marshes, the elegant branches of majestic oaks, the tranquil flow of rivers and the ocean's gentle movements have left a profound impact on her. "Beauty is abundant in every corner of Charleston," says Furlong. "From the tranquil marshes to the diverse wildlife, there's an endless array of inspiration waiting to be painted.”

"Sunrise Serenity"
