The Charleston Artist Guild (CAG) Gallery is excited to present Beverly Blume Smith as the featured artist for November 2024. Her exhibit, “Outside In,” will feature a mix of both representational and abstract works, reflecting the inspiration she’s drawn from her wide range of life experiences.

"Bold Oysters"

Beverly has an adventurous artistic background, having studied in different parts of the world and working in a variety of mediums. She grew up in southern California, graduated from college in Oregon, and even studied garden design in England. Her travels across the U.S. and England have shaped her unique artistic style. In her studio on Seabrook Island, she finds daily inspiration from the stunning marshes and coastal beauty of the Lowcountry.

"Twenty Twenty Hindsight"

Beverly’s art is deeply connected to nature. Whether she’s painting a landscape or capturing the delicate essence of flowers, her pieces are all about capturing a moment in time. When she works in an abstract style, she loves layering materials, adding and removing them to create depth and texture. Each piece reveals something new the more you look at it.
