July Featured Artist - Steve Jacobs - "It's All About the Moon"

"Metallic Moon Over Mountain"
The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to announce "It’s All About The Moon", a captivating solo exhibition by local artist Steve Jacobs, on view for the month of July. Known for his traditional Lowcountry scenes, Steve explores a more contemporary vision in this newest body of work. Drawing inspiration from an earlier pencil sketch titled "Moon Over Mountain," Jacobs reimagines the theme through an array of color palettes and stylistic treatments—ranging from impressionistic to near-photorealistic—created in oil and acrylic.

"Blue Moon"
Born in Germany to American parents and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Steve’s deep connection to the region’s marshes, waterways, and Charleston’s historic architecture continues to inform his work. In "It’s All About The Moon", he breaks from realism to present a series that celebrates artistic freedom, imagination, and the limitless variations of a single, evocative theme.

"Moonglow"
Steve Jacobs is the featured artist at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery for July. While there will be no opening reception this month due to the July 4th holiday, guests are warmly invited to visit the gallery throughout July to experience this distinctive and thought-provoking collection.
The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is located at 160 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC, and is open daily from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. For more information, please call 843.722.2425.
