I am a multidisciplinary artist working in oil, watercolor, and pastels, creating landscapes, portraits, and abstract compositions that reflect a life shaped by travel, culture, and connection. Having lived overseas as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa, and traveled extensively, my work is deeply informed by the people, places, and stories I’ve encountered along the way. I’m excited to share a new body of work that has been quietly unfolding in my studio—paintings centered on expansive, dynamic skies, set over serene Lowcountry landscapes. These works explore atmosphere, light, and a sense of quiet reverence. People often ask why I’m drawn to big skies. That connection reaches back to my childhood, when I first felt a pull toward both art and spirituality. I remember watching dramatic sunsets and thinking, “wow, they’re putting on a show tonight!” That sense of wonder has stayed with me. I like to imagine that when artists leave this world, they get to paint the skies—endlessly, across every horizon. Perhaps that’s why the sky feels so alive to me: always shifting, expressive, and inviting us to pause, breathe, and reflect. Through these paintings, I aim to capture fleeting moments when light, color, and atmosphere come together in a way that feels almost sacred. Looking upward becomes an act of gratitude—a quiet pause and moment of appreciation.

In all my works, I seek to convey a sense of connection and understanding. My art is a celebration of life's diversity and a call to see the extraordinary in the everyday.
