Tom Lukasik

Tom, born in 1957 in Michigan City, Indiana, showed artistic talent from a young age. In second grade, he accurately drew the movement of chimney smoke as seen from his window. His work earned him first place in a poster contest, with his art displayed in the Spaulding Hotel.  In 1975, Tom joined the US Navy, sacrificing art school but gaining valuable travel experiences that fueled his passion for art. In 1982, he married Debra, after her retirement from the US Navy, the growing family settled in Charleston, SC.

During his career at The Space and Naval Warfare Station in Charleston, Tom often strolled through the historic district, dreaming of showcasing his art in prestigious galleries. In 2018, Tom left his job to focus on art and travel. His work won numerous awards in oil pastels, drawing, and paintings. Tom's dedication to art led him to join the Charleston Art Guild Gallery, where he proudly shares his art with the community.
