Andy Wessels is a self-taught photographer and painter. He was born and raised in The Netherlands and moved with his family almost 30 years ago to the Charleston area. Living in South Carolina’s Lowcountry on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, it may not be a surprise that the local landscapes, wildlife, ocean, and marshes often play a central role in his work.
