The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present "Charleston Impressions", an exhibition by Steve Jacobs. Steve’s art ranges from loose to realistic capturing the beauty and history of the city. He is the featured artist at the CAG Gallery for the month of February.

"The Door"

Born in Germany of American parents with his father having been a member of the military, Steve moved to Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant and fell in love with the waters and marshes of the town and with the architecture of nearby Charleston.

"Sunset on the Ashley"

Steve captures this passion using oil, watercolor, acrylics and pencil.  For years Steve entertained Atlanta, as one of its top pianists. Now he frequently paints musical and other subjects which are transformed from realism to fantasy in the same canvas. In his Charleston architectural works, he really pushes the drama of a scene with extreme lights and darks.
