The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present Out of the Box, an exhibition by Susanne Frenzel.  Susanne is the featured artist at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery for the month of March. Her award-winning art has been shown nationally and internationally and been juried into local, state and international shows.

"Balance"

Susanne was born and raised in Germany. She worked as a teacher for many years, teaching math and textile design. Over the years, Susanne traveled through Europe and had the opportunity to explore various countries, observe people of different cultures, and experience the thrilling spirit of interesting places. Living in different parts of the world has significantly influenced Susanne’s work.

"Where My Heart Belongs"

After her move to the U.S. many years ago, she dedicated her time to raising her twin daughters and her love for art. Later, she taught German at The Citadel, the Military College of SC, and continued to paint and further explore her creativity. She feels very passionately about communicating through her artwork, initiating emotions and feelings; words cannot always express that.

"Symbol of Healing"

One of Susanne’s passions is experimenting with various techniques, different media and multiple textures. She follows spontaneous perceptions and inspirations to create her abstract paintings and to catch the viewer’s eye. This continuing, intimate process gives her the opportunity to add a unique special effect to her abstract work. Suzel, Susanne’s signature for her art, is a juried member of NAWA, the National Association of Women Artists. Recently, one of her works received an award, the Outstanding-Acrylic Award, in the November 2022 BoldBrush Painting Competition. To learn more about Susanne, visit www.susannefrenzel.com.
